Team La Bomba's 2011 12 Hours of Sebring saga. Team La Bomba is located at Turn 11, Collier Curve, just in front of the Oak Trees. This was the La Bomba ArtCar's 15th anniversary at the 12 Hours of Sebring. 2011 also marked the first year that Sebring officially sanctioned a Cruiser/Campsite contest at the 12 Hours of Sebring. La Bomba did prevail in the Cruiser Contest at the 12 Hours of Sebring against some very worthy challengers, and our friends at Turn 10 won the Campsite Contest at the 12 Hours of Sebring. It was a great race week at the 12 Hours of Sebring with perfect weather thoughout, and a very large and competitive field of cars entered in the 12 Hours of Sebring Race. We had the pleasure of meeting Allan McNish, who co-drove the #2 Audi R15+ at the 12 Hours of Sebring with drivers Tom Kristensen and Dindo Capello, when he spotted La Bomba and shot some of his own personal video which you can see on his website at: AllanMcNish.com - Team La Bomba was invited by Greg Harris, president of the Greater Sebring Chamber of Commerce, and Barry Foster - local Sebring radio personality - to be part of the tradition of having race cars cruise into downtown Sebring, from the track at the 12 Hours of Sebring, and park around the circular park in the center of town for a meet and greet with the public. It was loads of fun and we had the pleasure of meeting the lovely and gracious Katie Haviland, who was crowned 'Miss 12 Hours of Sebring 2011'. Also worthy of noting is the ...
